1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using ArmoLingo ("the Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.

2. Description of Service

ArmoLingo is a web-based language learning platform focused on Armenian language instruction. The Service includes:

• Interactive flashcards and vocabulary learning
• Quizzes and progress tracking
• Multiple learning modes and games
• User accounts with progress synchronization
• Eastern and Western Armenian dialect support
• AI-powered practice assistant ("Armen") for conversational practice

Free and Paid Tiers:

• Free Tier: Access to 2 vocabulary batches (10 words) at no cost
• Pro Subscription: Unlimited access to all vocabulary, games, quizzes, and features

3. User Accounts

To access certain features of the Service, you must register for an account:

• You must provide accurate and complete registration information
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
• You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account
• One person or legal entity may maintain only one account

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use ArmoLingo only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms:

You may NOT:

• Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Service
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers connected to the Service
• Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to access the Service
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
• Share your account credentials with others
• Create multiple accounts to circumvent any limitations
• Use the Service to transmit any malicious code or harmful content

5. Content and Intellectual Property

Our Content:

• All content provided by ArmoLingo (vocabulary, examples, exercises) is our intellectual property
• You may use our content solely for personal language learning purposes
• You may not redistribute, sell, or commercially use our content without permission

Your Content:

• You retain ownership of any content you create (notes, progress data)
• You grant us a license to store and process your data to provide the Service
• You can export or delete your data at any time

6. AI Practice Assistant (Armen) — Pro Feature

ArmoLingo includes an AI-powered chatbot called "Armen" to help you practice Armenian. Access to Armen requires an active Pro subscription.

Usage Guidelines:

• Armen is available exclusively to Pro subscribers
• Armen is designed for Armenian language practice only
• Daily usage limits apply (50 messages per day) to ensure fair access
• Do not use Armen for any illegal, harmful, or abusive purposes
• Do not attempt to manipulate or "jailbreak" the AI
• Do not share personal, sensitive, or confidential information with Armen

Limitations:

• Armen is an AI and may occasionally make mistakes or provide inaccurate translations
• Responses are generated by AI and should not be considered professional language instruction
• We do not guarantee the accuracy of any AI-generated content
• Armen's availability may be limited during high-demand periods or maintenance

Third-Party AI:

Armen is powered by OpenAI's technology. Your interactions are subject to OpenAI's Terms of Use.

7. Subscriptions and Payments

Subscription Plans:

• Monthly Plan: $6.99 per month, billed monthly
• Annual Plan: $59.99 per year, billed annually (29% savings)

Billing:

• All payments are processed securely through Stripe
• Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period
• You will be charged on the same day each month/year that you originally subscribed
• Prices are in US Dollars (USD) and include applicable taxes where required

Cancellation:

• You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period
• You will retain access to Pro features until your subscription period ends
• After cancellation, your account will revert to the Free tier
• Your learning progress is never deleted when you cancel

Refunds:

• We offer a full refund within 7 days of your initial subscription purchase if you are not satisfied
• Refund requests should be sent to armolingo@gmail.com
• Refunds for renewals are generally not provided, but we may consider requests on a case-by-case basis
• Refunds are processed back to your original payment method within 5-10 business days

Price Changes:

• We reserve the right to change subscription prices with 30 days notice
• Price changes will not affect your current billing period
• You will be notified by email before any price increase takes effect

8. Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy, which also governs your use of the Service, to understand our practices.

9. Service Availability

We strive to keep ArmoLingo available 24/7, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access:

• The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance or updates
• We may modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice
• We are not liable for any downtime or service interruptions
• We may impose usage limits to ensure fair access for all users

10. User Data and Backups

While we take reasonable measures to protect and backup user data:

• You are responsible for backing up important data
• We recommend regularly exporting your progress
• We are not liable for any data loss, though we will make reasonable efforts to prevent it
• Data retention is covered in our Privacy Policy

11. Termination

You may terminate your account:

• At any time through your account settings
• Your data will be deleted according to our Privacy Policy

We may terminate or suspend accounts:

• For violation of these Terms of Service
• For suspected fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity
• If your account has been inactive for extended periods
• With reasonable notice for legitimate business reasons

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

ArmoLingo is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranties:

• We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free or uninterrupted
• We do not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of any content, including AI-generated responses
• We are not responsible for your language learning outcomes
• Use of the Service is at your own risk

13. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us (if any) in the 12 months preceding the claim
• We are not liable for any third-party actions or content
• Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, so they may not apply to you

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ArmoLingo from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

• Your use of the Service
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any third-party rights

15. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of California.

16. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time:

• We will notify users of material changes via email or app notification
• Your continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of new Terms
• If you don't agree to changes, you may terminate your account

17. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
